We couldn’t be happier to be announcing the very first Avantexte Press publication, The ChongDong Misfits by Matina Stamatakis and Carmen Racovitza. The project began several years ago as a series of hauntingly beautiful blog posts by Matina. We watched each new installment go live with rapt attention, eagerly plunging into the mind-bending, fiendishly erotic world Matina painted with her exquisitely wrought words, and found ourselves even more enticed as the series benefited from Carmen’s painstaking (and painsmaking) vivisections.

The text remained at the back of our minds as we launched Avantexte, always knowing that someday, with the authors’ kind permission, we’d want to bring the series to life in print. Finally, the opportunity came, and we feel we’ve created the perfect physical manifestation of these two fearless poets’ words. We hope you agree, and can’t wait to hear your thoughts!

The ChongDong Misfits is now available in two print (one with a full-color interior and the other in black and white) and PDF formats.
